Philosophy
Credibility in architecture results from a combination of creative form and technical necessity. Nothing lasts forever. Yet I work to design buildings that last as long as possible consuming the least amount of natural resources. I work with my clients to deliver at the end of every project a maintenance schedule and operation manual. Saving money over the life of the building is a primary goal.
Starting from that foundation I work with my clients to understand their location in life and what inspires them in architecture. From that point I begin to draw. My clients do not consider their building a place to merely house the body. For them It is a place, when residing, for the human spirit, intimating possibilities, and the continuation of life even if it were the last thing they saw before death.
In the meantime, before death that is, architecture for them is about pleasure and comfort, utility and endurance, beauty and delight.
